Privacy Policy

Spiral collects information to provide its AI writing service. This policy describes what data we gather, how we use it, and your privacy rights. By using the Service, you consent to data processing as described here and in our Terms of Service.
1. Who collects your information
Spiral collects your information and acts as the "Controller" of personal data under the GDPR.
2. What we collect
Personal information. Name, email, username, and social-media integration data; technical information such as device identifiers, cookies, IP addresses, timestamps, and page URLs; communication records; and information from connected platforms.
Non-personal information. Links posted, purchase history, device and browser type, pages accessed, usage patterns, and search terms.
Aggregate information. Anonymous, non-identifying data about requests, preferences, and referring sites.
Financial information. Processed by a third-party payment processor only. Spiral does not store financial data.
3. Why we collect it
To provide the Service and manage accounts, process payments, improve the Service and its writing quality, communicate with you, and run analytics and troubleshooting.
4. How we use it
For internal operations and research, account creation and maintenance, automated and anonymized review of usage to improve the Service, service and promotional communications, interest-based advertising, and social-media integration.
5. How we share it
We share personal information for the purposes stated above, with your consent, when legally required or to protect rights, with service contractors and co-branded partners, and with third-party AI providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) that generate output for the Service. Spiral does not train its own AI models on your content, and we take best-effort steps to opt out of data retention with these providers so that your content is not used to train their models. Those providers' own privacy policies govern their handling of your data. We may also transfer information during a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.
6. Other ways data may be shared
You may voluntarily share information to connected platforms through the Service's settings. Spiral is not responsible for the consequences of sharing you initiate.
7. Accessing and controlling your information
Contact hello@every.to to access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out of promotional email (include "Opt-Out" in the subject). We verify identity before granting access.
8. Storage and security
We use physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards and industry-standard encryption, though no transmission over the internet can be completely secure. Information is stored on U.S.-based servers. Personal information is retained until you request deletion; logs and aggregated or anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.
9. Cookies and network technologies
We use cookies for preferences, analytics tools (PostHog, Google Analytics), pixel tags, and clickstream data to improve the Service. The site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
10. Collection by others
Third-party sites linked from the Service maintain their own privacy policies, which you should review independently.
11. Co-branded sites
Spiral may partner with Every Studio, LLC on co-branded content. Spiral's policy governs the information it collects; review Every Studio's policy at every.to/legal.
12. EEA privacy rights
We process data on the bases of legitimate interests, contract performance, legal compliance, and your (revocable) consent. Under the GDPR you have rights to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact hello@every.to for any of these.
13. Children's information
Spiral does not knowingly collect information from minors and complies with COPPA and FTC rules. Concerned parents can contact hello@every.to.
14. California privacy rights
California residents may request disclosure of third-party sharing from the prior calendar year by emailing hello@every.to with "Request for Privacy Information" in the subject.
15. Nevada privacy rights
Spiral does not "sell" covered information under Nevada law. Nevada residents may request non-sale by emailing hello@every.to with "Nevada Do Not Sell" in the subject.
